2026 Napier Youth Tournament
East City Futsal heads to Napier
During the July school holidays, East City Futsal proudly travelled to Napier to compete in the 2026 HB Futsal Youth Tournament held at Rodney Green Arenas. The tournament brought together youth teams from across New Zealand and Australia for three days of high-quality futsal, providing a fantastic opportunity for our players to test themselves against strong opposition while representing the club on the national stage. The tournament featured multiple junior age groups and continues to be one of New Zealand's premier youth futsal events.
More than just results
While every team was naturally striving for success on the court, the tournament was about much more than wins and losses. It provided our players with valuable match experience, helped build confidence in a competitive environment, and created lasting memories both on and off the court.
Throughout the weekend our players demonstrated the values that define East City Futsal:
- Respect for opponents, officials and teammates
- Positive sportsmanship
- Teamwork and resilience
- A willingness to learn and improve every game
We are extremely proud of every player, coach, manager and family member who represented the club throughout the tournament.
